Every four years, rugby fans debate which players should go on tour with the British & Irish Lions.
In 2021, I found myself discussing this in three different WhatsApp groups. And I was looking up stats from the Six Nations to back up my argument. But I wished there was an easier way to see the information.
So – just for fun – I created an interactive visualisation that allowed fans to compare the stats for different players.
The tool was discussed on popular rugby podcasts and blogs. And a number of former international players got their hands on it, and were digging into the numbers to help settle the score.
